During July 2010, a salvage excavation was conducted at the intersection of Taka and Lohamē Ha-Geta’ot Streets in Ramla (Permit No. A-5964; map ref. 18771–3/64815–6), in the wake of discovering antiquities in preliminary inspections, prior to construction. The excavation, undertaken on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and underwritten by the M. Aviv Company, was directed by E. Oren, with the assistance of E. Bachar (administration), V. Essman (surveying), A. Peretz (field photography), P. Gendelman (ceramics) and M. Shuiskaya (drawing of finds).
