In February–March 2015, a salvage excavation was conducted at Khirbat Umm Tuba in southeast Jerusalem (Permit No. A-7349; map ref. 221942–79/626073–104), prior to construction. The excavation, undertaken on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and financed by the contractor, Mr. Mohammed ‘Abd ‘Ali’an, was directed by M. Shor, with the assistance of N.
