During July 2008, a survey was conducted near a farm in the region of Nahal Zena‘ (License No. S-51/2008; map ref. 17658–709/51713–42), following a request to increase the size of the farm. The survey, undertaken on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and underwritten by Mr. Y. Adler, was directed by Y. Haimi.
A rectangular building, elliptical animal pen and potsherds from the Byzantine period are located at a site (Site 9004/0; map ref. 17754–74/51540–60), 2 km to whose north an area (40 dunams; Figs. 1, 2) with a farm from the same period that included seven threshing floors, water channels and farming terraces (Table 1) was surveyed.
