In October 2015, a salvage excavation was conducted in Kibbutz Nahshon (Permit No. A-7537; map ref. 196154/637581; Fig. 1), prior to the expansion of the kibbutz. The excavation, on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority, was directed by Y. Tzur, with the assistance of N. Nahama (administration), A. Eirikh-Rose (GPS), M. Kahan (surveying, drafting and reconstruction of the tomb), B. Dolinka (ceramics), I. Lidsky-Reznikov (pottery drawing) and N. Zak (plan). Trial trenches were excavated at the site by N. Ben-Ari prior to the archaeological excavation.
