In February 2014, bronze weapons were discovered while inspecting infrastructure work at the ‘Third Mile Estate’ site in Ashqelon (‘The City of Wine’; map ref. 621415/160737; Fig. 1). The infrastructure work was carried out on behalf of the Ashqelon Water Corporation and the inspection was conducted by M. Oron on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority with the assistance of C. Amit (studio photography) and I. Lidsky-Reznikov (drawing).
