Extended report
In January 2009, a salvage excavation was conducted at Kh. Yamma (Yaham), within the boundaries of Kafr Yamma in the Sharon plain (Permit No. A-5575; map ref. 20330/69735), prior to construction and in the wake of damage to antiquities caused by the installation of a water channel. The excavation, on behalf of the Antiquities Authority and funded by Mr. Z. Muhamad, was directed by D. Massarwa. E.J. Stern studied the pottery, and R. Kool identified the coins. The excavation revealed building remains from the Mamluk–early Ottoman and the late Ottoman periods.
